Ringwood Best Bitter (OG 1037, ABV 3.8%)
A well-balanced, golden brown beer. A malty and
hoppy aroma leads to a malty taste with some
sweetness. Malty and bitter finish, with some
fruit present.

Ringwood, which celebrates 30 years of
brewing in 2008, was setup in 1978 by
legendary micro-brewery builder Peter
Austin. The brewery moved in 1986 to
attractive 18th-century buildings, formerly
part of the old Trunks Brewery. A new
brewhouse was commissioned at the end of
1994, and a new fermenting room completed
in 1995. Additional fermenters were
installed in 2002 along with cask-washing
and cask-filling equipment. |

Butcombe Bitter
(OG 1047, ABV 4.7%)
Amber coloured, malty and notably bitter beer, with subtle citrus fruit
qualities. Hoppy, malty, citrus and a very slightly sulphur aroma, and a
long, dry, bitter finish with light fruit notes. Consistent and
refreshing.
Three times a finalist at The Great British Beer Festival.

Hobgoblin (ABV 5.0%)
Hobgoblin is strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end. The ruby red coloured Hobgoblin is full-bodied and has a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour balanced with a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity character.

Scottish Courage is Britain's biggest brewing group with close to 30 per cent of the market. It joined the ranks of the global brewers in 2000 when it negotiated to buy Brasseries Kronenbourg and Alken Maes from the French group
Danone.
Scottish & Newcastle was formed in 1960, a merger between Scottish Brewers (Younger and McEwan) and Newcastle Breweries. In 1995 it bought Courage from its Australian owners,
Foster's. In 2003 Scottish Courage announced it planned to sell its entire estate of 1400 outlets in order to concentrate on brewing.
